Bubble 'n' Kick is on the MOVE!

Whilst our swim family are in the know of what's happening with Bubble 'n' Kick Swim School as we emerge post COVID19, we figured it's about time we tell the world what we are up to....

We are MOVING!!!

Unfortunately our unexpected closure on the 23rd March due to the introduction of COVID19 restrictions caused a lot of pain, stress and insecurities like many businesses in the similar position. Being under new ownership for only 11 months meant we did not qualify for many of the initial Government assistance grants and loans, and as circumstances unfolded we were faced with the hurdle of relocating out of our original premises 25 Technology Dr Warana.

Our team of instructors and front desk attendants were amazing!! Calling in the help and expertise of friends, partners and spouses we managed to pull down the whole inside of our centre in 3.5 weeks, loading up storage sheds, garages and moving into our to-be new home- 4/5 Cedarbrook Drive Forest Glen.

Now rather than dwell on the hurdles and mission we are about to undertake, I have pushed to keep positive and moving forward- I love my job too much not too!! In weighing up options as where to and how big and what this venture would look like, I am excited to share we are building the indoor aquatic education centre I had invisioned for 2023!!

Not only does this mean we will finally be able to run our Transition and Development Squad programs under the same roof as our Learn to Swim Program, we will also be able to fully accommodate all forms of special needs with ramps, hoists, private classrooms and accessible amenities; we are going to be able to host AUSTSWIM and Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSSA) certification courses; and we will be able to run intensive programs and clinics throughout the year. We are going to be your all-indoor home of aquatic education here on the Sunshine Coast.

As at the 23rd November, our application is with the Sunshine Coast Council for 'Change of 'Code' request (this is estimated to take up to 12 weeks, it is week 4 now), our new pools are secured and to be delivered next month, our trades people are finalising the last of our building plans for works to start mid December and our target for opening is the end of January. As soon as we have secured Council Approval we will be able to confirm our open date.

Until then, enjoy the summer weather, get the kids in the water, join us for Aquatic Adventurers, and stay tuned for our next update!!
