Sign Language Swim Classes

At Bubble’n’Kick Swim School, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, understood, and included — both in and out of the water. That’s why our team proudly incorporates sign-supported communication and basic Auslan (Australian Sign Language) into our swim lessons.

For families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, swimming can come with unique communication challenges. Our goal is to make sure those challenges never become barriers. Through visual cues, gestures, and simple Auslan signs such as stop, wait, kick, splash, finished, and well done, we help children understand instructions, build confidence, and stay connected throughout their lesson.

Our Puggle-trained instructors are experienced in recognising non-verbal communication and adapting their teaching style to suit each child’s needs. We prioritise clear visual demonstrations, calm facial expressions, and consistent lesson routines — so every swimmer feels safe, supported, and confident

.By using sign language in the pool, we help:

Children with hearing differences understand instructions clearly

Parents and teachers communicate consistently

Build trust, confidence, and water safety awareness through inclusive learning.

Whether your child is non-verbal, has partial hearing loss, or communicates primarily through sign, our swim school is committed to creating a space where they can thrive. At Bubble’n’Kick Swim School, we don’t just teach swimming — we teach understanding, confidence, and connection in every lesson.
